Veturi.in, a Telugu website dedicated to Veturi Sundararama Murthy

Few fans of Late Veturi Sudararama Murthy, a famous Telugu lyricist, launched a website, veturi.in, as a remembrance to Veturi and as a place for fans of Veturi to share and promote their passion for Veturi’s Telugu songs.

InScript+ keyboard layout for Telugu

InScript+ an enhanced InScript keyboard layout for Telugu

Unicode 6.0 has standardized code points for Telugu characters. However, the classic or old characters cannot easily be typed. So, C-DAC has come up with proposal called Enhanced InScript Keyboard Layout. (You can get their proposal from their web site.) I implemented their proposal for Telugu in the name of InScript+.

With this keyboard layout you can type all the Telugu characters that are currently in Unicode 6.0 standard. The layout looks as follows:

Telugu Baata — a Walk for Telugu

Telugu Baata is an event where enthusiasts walk for Telugu. This is being organized by e-Telugu, an organization working for promotion of Telugu on computers and internet.

This year, the walk in Hyderabad is going to take place on 28th of August at 9.00 am. The walk will start at Telugu Lalitha Kalaathoranam and continue up to Basheer Bagh Press Club. There will be a press conference on the topic of Telugu Bhashaki Adunika hoada (Modern status to Telugu language) at the Press Club.
